    Our owner and buyer, Dan Johnston, has been traveling to Florida nurseries for over 35 years.

  • “Hands On”:

    Every other month we travel to Florida to check the quality of plant material before it is shipped. Many items are contract grown for us to assure size and quality year round. We hand select and tag most material that is then held at the nursery and shipped over the next 4-6 weeks.

  • Quality of Product:

    We only purchase from nurseries that grow quality material that meets our high standards.

  • Special Requests:

    When you need a specific item we do not have in our inventory we will personally hand tag your plant while touring the nursery and email you a picture for your approval before shipping.

  • Shipping/Minimal Handling:

    We ship full loads from Florida weekly. Shipping only full loads, and not LTL, helps minimize the mishandling and breaking of plants. Our plant material is handled at least 50% less than material shipped LTL on other lines.

  • Shipping Time:

    Our product arrives from Florida in approximately 48-60 hours, which guarantees us a fresher, higher quality product.

  • Acclimatized Plant Material:

    Plant material is inventoried in our customized greenhouse for acclimation. Our entire greenhouse facility has “bottom heat” to assure proper heating during the winter months. We also have 5 different “shade zones" and “heating zones." Water is heated to 70 degrees year-round to minimize shock to the root systems. Foliage-Pro and Pro-Tekt are added to the water system to enhance plant's performance. We recently added a new product to our watering system, Oxcide, to minimize algae and control fungus gnats.

  • Inventory:

    We carry the largest year-round inventory of Florida grown tropicals as well as Hawaiian/Californian grown tropicals in the Midwest. Our Hawaiian/Californian grown tropicals are restocked monthly from California nurseries.

  • Delivery to our Customers in the Tri State area:

    We use custom built delivery truck cargo units with extra insulation in the walls and floors as well as a custom designed heating system that allows us to deliver in almost any weather conditions. We deliver to Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky on a weekly basis and to lower Michigan once a month. We deliver either to our customers’ warehouse or job site.

    There is over 40 years of tropical sales knowledge among our three sales staff members. We personally hand select every item you order from our large physical inventory which is something you will not find in many other companies. Quality and satisfaction are guaranteed!
